Present:
ZBA members:  Mark Fournier, Brooks McCandlish, Stephen Pierce, Denise Renk
Applicant:  Lynn Gross, accompanied by Michael Carter, Michael Seraikis, Roger Rodewald.
Conservation Commission members:  George Beaton, Seth Benowitz, Ann Eldridge

All participants were asked to sign a statement acknowledging and accepting potential risks, including slippery footing.  The weather was clear, seasonally cold (teens), and 2″-3″ of hard crusty snow covered the ground.

Michael Seraikis, NH Certified Wetland  Scientist, passed around and discussed a new Plan showing the proposed activities and site work for the proposed firewood processing and sales, and landscape materials sales business.  Wetland areas were delineated on the ground with pink and black striped flagging.

Seraikis pointed out that a portion of the property is within 250 feet of the Warner River, and that a Shoreland permit was in process with NH DES. Seraikis said that the entire property (2.8+/-) acres is within the 100 year flood plain, but that no permanent structures were proposed.  Michael Carter confirmed that the firewood processing equipment, administrative trailer, and toilet proposed would all be portable, and would be removed from the site if flooding was predicted.

Serakis further noted that about half of the total area of the lot is wetland, and nearly all of the upland area is within the wetland buffer area defined by the Bradford Zoning Ordinance.  The owner is requesting a variance to the wetland buffer requirements in order to be able to conduct the proposed business on this lot.

The group toured the site starting with the proposed firewood processing, administration and materials storage areas and then around the proposed loop road and log storage areas.  Michael Seraikis and Michael Carter discussed the site, proposed site work and business activities.

The site walk concluded at approximately 11:30 AM.
