Select Board Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm
Roll Call – Andrew Pinard (Chair), Marlene Freyler, Mel Pfeifle and Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator, were in attendance.

Tax Rate – Karen explained that the tax rate last year was $23.86 per thousand. The options to discuss at this meeting are: not using an amount from Fund Balance, setting the tax rate at $24.31; using $50,000 from Fund Balance, in which case the rate would be $24.11; or using $100,000 from Fund Balance, and the rate would be $23.91.
After discussion, Andrew suggested using $100,000 from Fund Balance to maintain the tax rate at a $23.91. Marlene and Mel agreed.
Motion: Andrew Pinard made a motion to use $100,000 from Fund Balance to set the tax rate at $23.91.
Second: Marlene Freyler
Decision: 3-0
Karen reported that they have received 6 applications for the Fire Chief position. Karen will put this on the agenda for next Monday.
Karen reminded the Board members that they need to make a list of potential Moderators for the next meeting as well.
