Cemetery Minutes- April 14, 2016
Members present: Jane M. Lucas, Carey Rodd, Diane Whalley and Jim Lord, Custodian.
The March minutes were reviewed and accepted by Jane Lucas, Carey Rodd and Diane Whalley.
Old Business:
Diane spoke to Town Manager, Karen, about how soon we can begin the tree removal. She suggested that we wait until the first of May due to the lack of funds. Tax income will be coming in closer to that time.
There are more trees that need to be taken into consideration as the winter conditions have taken down other trees not considered in the original bid. Separate invoices will have to be issued for that expense.
New Business:
A packet for sales of cemetery lots was presented, including a new sales form. The income of lot sales has been confusing. New trust funds distribution indicated on the new sales form helps to understand which trust the money is indicated.
Jane reported on the cemeteries she and Diane had visited and Diane reported onm the ones she and Jim had visited. Colby and Old Pond cemeteries are the only ones that have not been visited yet. Jane will consolidate last years damaged repaired headstones, headstones that remain on the repair list and new repairs found this year.
The new signs for Presbury, Marshall, and New Pond will be put up as time permits.
