Special meeting
The Board of Selectmen opened their meeting on December 11, 2009 at 8:00 am and immediately moved to go to non public session per RSA 91-A:3:II to discuss personnel matters. Vote was unanimous to go to non public. Chip Meany, Chairman; Peter Fenton, Selectman and Jack Meaney Selectman were in attendance.
Returned from non public at9:00 am. The following occurred.
1. Letters were signed and sent to the town clerk/tax collector, welfare officer and building inspector.
2. Selectmen decided not to increase the Deputy Town Clerk/tax collector’s hours until after the vote of town meeting
3. Vacation payouts were approved
4. Probationary wage increase approved for Deputy Town Clerk, tax collector.
The selectmen reviewed a proposal to purchase a used piece of equipment to clear snow from sidewalks. The cost is $28,000. The machine will be used for a variety of purposes in addition to snow removal such as Transfer station and mowing. The Board voted to purchase the equipment.
Motion made to adjourn at 9:30am. Seconded and the meeting was closed.
