Budget Committee Draft Minutes
February 20, 2020
Members – Marlene Freyler (Chair), Mark Fournier (Vice Chair), Jason Allen (Select Board Rep), Claire James an Justin Dohrn were present.
Cheryl Croto was absent.
Pledge of Allegiance
The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to have Jim Bibbo fill the vacant Budget Committee member seat through the rest of the term expiring after Town Meeting 2020.
Second: Justin Dohrn
Decision: 5-0 in favor.
- The Committee voted whether to recommend Warrant Article Twenty-Seven which is a Petition Warrant to expend $550,000 for the purchase of a new pumper truck with $337,000 to be funded from the Fire Department Heavy Equipment Fund and $213,000 to be raised by taxes.
Motion: Jason Allen motioned not to recommend Warrant Article Twenty-Seven.
Second: Mark Fournier
Decision: 5-0 in favor, Marlene Freyler abstained.
Receipt of Correspondence:
- The Committee reviewed the minutes from the February 6th, 2020 meeting. Jason identified an edit needed to change the word Not to No.
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to approve the minutes.
Second: Justin Dohrn
Decision: 6-0 in favor.
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to cancel the March Budget Committee meeting.
Second: Justin Dohrn
Decision: 6-0 in favor.
Motion: Marlene Freyler motioned to adjourn at 6:44pm.

Future Business:
- The next Budget Committee meeting will be held April 16th, 2020 at 6:30pm.
