OLD BUSINESS:
Discussion held regarding available funds in addition to line items in budget. Trusts are vague about what funds are available for use for additional and expensive needs. Carey will approach one Trustee of the Trust Funds for the Town of Bradford, Michael James to see if he can enlighten us. In the meantime we will go ahead and schedule the repairs needed . We know there is at least $2,000- $3,000 to start.
Areas in Sunny Plains and Pleasant Hill cemeteries are in dire need of reseeding. This will be addressed over the coming month.
Dog signs are up at Sunny Plains, Pleasant Hill and New Pond.
Water is on at Sunny Plains.
Flags were placed at all veteran cemetery lots by Jane Lucas and Family. Poppies were added to the WWI vets flags in memory of the 100th anniversary. The 5th grade helped place the flags at Sunny Plains Cemetery along with members of the American Legion Post 39 members: Freeman West, Paul Violette and Charlie Trowbridge.
No volunteers came forth to help with cemetery stone cleaning from an appeal in the Bridge.
NEW BUSINESS :
A brief discussion was held regarding cemetery markers without remains present. This would be pertinent to known deceased. Diane contacted the Attorney General’s office to inquire if there were any legal rules . She was told that each town should write it’s own rule. We put this on the back burner until after Jane and Diane attend the AG Seminar on the 19 the on June.
Draft until approved
