CEMETERY MINUTES JUNE 11,2015
Members present : Carey Rodd , Jane Lucas , and Diane Whalley. Also attending is Jim Lord, Custodian
OLD BUSINESS:
The minutes from the May 13th meeting were read and approved by C.Rodd,J.Lucas and D.Whalley.
Diane announced that the posts for the new signs still need to be painted. She will contact Morgan Murdough to see what paint and finish he used ,so the posts will match the signs.
Discussion was held regarding several large dead trees that could be a threat of falling in to several of the cemeteries . A tree fell in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. There was no damage to any headstones . Money will be taken from the” Tree line-item in the cemetery budget. There is inadequate funds to cover the 4 dead trees that would be a treat ,each in 4 different cemeteries. It was decided that Diane attend the next selectmen’s meeting to address this issue. The payment and paperwork for one purchased lot has been finalized . The money will be forwarded to the Trustees of the Trust Funds.
Jane and Diane will be meeting with Cornerstone Headstone Co. to get an estimate and prioritize necessary repairs. A date has been set for June 25 th.
NEW BUSINESS:
There are 5 pending burials for June and July.
