| Group | Sheila Denoncourt made a motion to approve the March 20, 2024 meeting minutes. Marlene Freyler seconded the motion and the minutes were unanimously approved. The single bid received (from Jim Lord), for the landscaping contract, was reviewed and rejected. Marlene will work with Karen Hambleton to have an additional ad posted in The Messenger, for this work. In the meantime, Dawn will review and update the prior landscaping contract to include language concerning additional work, outside the scope of what is normally necessary. |
| Marlene Freyler | Speed limits, within cemeteries, will be included in the Cemetery Rules signs. These signs will be fabricated and installed by the Highway Department prior to May 27, 2024. Marlene has discussed installing speed limit signs with Steve Hall (Highway Dept.). He has confirmed that there will be a charge for these signs and installation. She will verify the total charge for this work and provide the Board with this information at the next meeting. Marlene will confirm, with Karen Hambleton, if the updated cemetery rules need to be on the Select Board agenda before they can electronically be updated on the Town website. Due to a lack of vendors’ availability, quotes have not been obtained regarding the removal of plumbing and electrical work required at the Sunny Plain Cemetery. Marlene has spoken with Scott McCaskill (Town Trustee), regarding funds that may be available and can be spent on this work. He is researching this and Marlene will report his findings at the next meeting. |
| Group discussions | It was decided that a stone cleaning event will be held either the second or third weekend in September 2024. Marlene suggested placing a write up in The Bridge for this event. Additionally, she suggested sending a mass email to families who have family members buried in Town cemeteries. |

Follow-up with various vendors to obtain quotes, regarding the removal of plumbing and electrical work required in the Sunny Plain Cemetery. Confirm with Karen Hambleton, if the updated cemetery rules need to be on the Selectmen agenda before they can electronically be updated on the Town website. Report Scott’s (Town Trustee) research and findings, regarding what funds are available and can be spent on the electrical and plumbing work in the Sunny Plain Cemetery, at the next meeting. |
