BACC meeting Oct. 12th 2010,
John Bruss opened meeting 4:30 pm. Present John Bruss, Ellen Brownson, Kate Dobrowski, Karen Hambleton, Ona Ruchti, Dawn Rich, Margaret Raymond, Bruce Edwards and Dick Keller, Budget committee.
John did power point presentation of the usages of the community center. Minutes from September meeting accepted.
Senior Center – Ona. They now have tickets to sell on our court house steps quilt. Group are now working on a table cover for the table at the back entrance of the center. We have very few people for foot care with VNA but alot more for blood pressure check up. Our Friday movie “Up in the Air” had 10 people show up. Our quilters are still coming but soon we’ll lose our Florida group. Senior week we managed to get this in as we’ve all been pretty busy and Phil had a 2 week vacation. We served 30 plus people for a delicious dinner. even 2 selectman from town and 1 from Warner, attended 16 for breakfast. Oct. 1st Dwayne Dagnese played his guitar and sang for our dinner. Tues. 12th Anita Oelffke talked about the new medicare rules coming up and she’ll be back Nov. and Dec.
Health – Ellen LSRVNA current BP clinic will expand to include glucose and ask a nurse, these programs have gone well at larger centers so we are expanding them to all. Our grant proposal to purchase a cholesterol machine (chosterol LDX) has been submitted to Mascoma bank and we are optimistic that they will fund this new project. community flu clinics are well under way and we have received all of our 3,000 doses this year. Any business or public place wanting their own clinic can contact LSRVNA and we can arrange that.
BACC board requested meeting with selectman, set up for October 19th at 4:00 pm. Minutes have been done. Nov. 6th vision for Bradford will be held at town shed. Meeting adjourned 6:00 pm. Next scheduled meeting Nov. 10th at 4:30 pm. quietly submitted by Bruce
