Bradford Conservation Commission Meeting Minutes
August 18, 2015, 7pm at Brown Memorial Library
Present: George Beaton, J Ann Eldridge, Patty Furness, Brooks McCandlish, Meg Fearnley
Secretary’s Report: The draft meeting minutes were accepted as read.
Treasurer’s Report: Meg reported $3.50 interest earned on accounts for May and June.
Warner River Protective Designation Program: There will be an organizational meeting in Warner Wednesday, 16 September to continue work on the application process. There are 5 other towns involved in this management and protection program of the Warner River. Scott has volunteered to attend as our representative.
Fern Walk: Jane Williamson led an enthusiastic group of explorers through the Pearl Town Forest in search of some of NH’s common (and not so common) ferns. We discovered the likes of Eastern Hay–scented, Interrupted, and the diminutive Rock Polypody, among others. A delightful, educational, and bug-free morning!
Natural Resources Inventory Chapter Synopsis: Conserved Land will be submitted to the September edition of The Bridge.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50pm. The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday September 15, 2015, 7pm at Brown Memorial Library.
