Bradford Conservation Commission Secretary’s Draft Report
August 20, 2024, 7pm at Brown Memorial Library
Present: George Beaton, Seth Benowitz, J Ann Eldridge, Meg Fearnley, Patty Furness, Doug Southard, and Rett Weber.
Secretary’s Draft Report 7/16/24: The draft minutes were reviewed. Doug made a motion to accept the report as read, Meg seconded, followed by unanimous approval.
Treasurer’s Report: Meg presented the current treasury account figures. There is $161.20 remaining in the 2024 budget. The Summer Camp fund has grown to $870.
Alternate Member Nomination: Meg made a motion to nominate Rett Weber to Alternate status on
Bradford Conservation Commission. Doug seconded, and all heartily approved. The Select Board will make Rett’s appointment official.
Culvert Replacemment Grant: Rett gave an update on the status of the four Bradford culverts in need of
replacement on West Rd., Deer Valley Rd., East Shore Dr., and Main St. He is gathering the necessary information needed for the grant application, including a cost/benefit analysis which is needed from the
Hazarrd Mitigation Plan.
Warner River Local Advisory Committee: There has been further inquiry regarding the active intent to cut permit on the former Chivers property on Breezy Hill Rd along the Warner River.
Fairgrounds Rd. Cuvert and Driveway Application: Ann and George investigated the site to ensure that there would be no wetland encroachment or violation, and it appears there is neither.
Surface Water Protectiion Plan: The next meeting with the Central Regional Planning Board will be held Wednesday August 21 at 2pm.
