The meeting came to order a little after 6:00 PM. Present were Scott McCaskill (Chair), Kris Foss (Secretary), Mel Pfeifle (Select Board representative), and Matt Monahan (CNHRPC, via Zoom).
The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.
Kris reported that work is continuing on the revised town web site. Of note is that an alert capability is now available. Bryan Nowell has evaluated it and given his approval. It will permit urgent notices to be distributed to subscribers via email or text message. The new site will also support a reservation system, which can be used to manage scheduling for the Town Hall theater, the Community Center, and other available venues.
We discussed signage for the intersection of Main Street and Route 103, with the possible addition of the crossing of 103 and 114, to replace the “sandwich boards” that are currently used. The signs would direct passers-by to businesses and other attractions in town. The cost could be shared by the participating businesses. Matt has found a contact within the Department of Transportation, who can advise us on exactly where the right-of-way is and what is permissible within it. He noted that there are existing examples of sign types that might use in other towns. Scott will check with Clark Roberge regarding design ideas and costs.
We discussed the possible expansion of the RSA 79-E and ERZ tax zones, but decided to defer until the next meeting.
