Economic Development Committee Minutes 04.18.22

The meeting started at 6:05. Present were Scott McCaskill (chair), Matt Monahan (CNHRPC, via Zoom), Mel Pfeifle, and Stan Ovrevik.

The meeting was a discussion session. We covered:

– Town Hall second floor — current condition, anticipated eventual conditions, opportunities for community use and use as general event space.

– Foundations and other sources of funding,

– Condition of several properties in town, possibilities for development, possible complication due to brownfields, possible state assistance in evaluating and possibly remediating brownfields.

– Possible ways to market the Masonic building,

– Availability of state maps showing flood plains, steep slopes, and aquifers. Matt to follow up.

– Possibility of extending the 79:E AND ERZ zones beyond the town center.

The meeting finished at 7:30.
