The meeting started around 6:05.
Present were Scott McCaskill, Mel Pfeifle, and Jim Bibbo; also present via Zoom was Matt Monahan of CNHRPC. Stan Ovrevik joined later, via Zoom, at 6:35.
I read aloud the memo that I had previously circulated to the committee members, detailing my meeting with Mike James on 27 May 2022. We discussed the points of the memo, and the notion of using public-private partnerships to advance some of the town’s interests. This led to a discussion of the current housing situation, in Bradford and the state as a whole, touching on the impacts on schools and taxes. The town of Berlin was used as an example of how such partnerships might work.
This led into a discussion of the Naughton property, and possible options for water and septic, both for that property and for other nearby properties. The suggestion was made that we should involve the Planning Board and the Select Board in any plans going forward.
At the end of the meeting, Stan Ovrevik let us know that he needed to resign from the committee due to the time requirements of his business. We thank him for his knowledge and input over the last several years.
The meeting ended at 7:30.
