Bradford Planning Board- Secretary

The Bradford Planning Board is looking to hire a secretary on a temporary basis, with the possibility of it becoming full-time. The position begins January 12, 2016.

Job Summary The Secretary is responsible for keeping all minutes and records for the Boards in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and applicable state laws. It also includes keeping financial records for the Boards, purchasing supplies, and assisting public with access to the Boards’ files.

The job is part time at an hourly rate based on experience. Two meetings per month for the Planning Board plus time to transcribe, write letters, file documents, and respond to questions.

Accountability The Secretary is the public contact person for the Boards under the guidance and direction of the chairs of those Boards.

Qualifications Basic office skills – filing, tape recording, letter writing, computer capability with Word and Excel. Oral and written communication skills are necessary and the ability to get along with the public. Applicant should be a resident of Bradford.
