2. The secretary’s report was accepted as presented.
3. A motion was made and passed to accept donations to Brown Memorial Library in November in the amount of $52.00 $27.00 came from our on-going book sale, and $25.00 from general donations. Bea reported that she has learned the Selectmen voted to give town employees a 2% raise effective January 1. The Trustees agreed with her suggestion that she amend the budget to make our salary increases effective at the same time. The Treasurer’s Report was accepted as presented.
4. Meg reported that most all of the circulation numbers for November are down, though she does not know why.
5. Under Old Business, Patty explained that preparations for Santa’s visit (sponsored by the Friends of Brown Memorial Library) on Saturday, December 14, at 4:00 p.m. are well underway. Meg will read some stories and then light the tree and Laurie Buchar will lead carols. Bea and Tracy will take photos. The Town Hall Restoration Committee will be selling greens, holiday plants and pies in front of Town Hall that afternoon and the Masons are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner in the evening. Bea and Patty will put the lights on the tree this coming Saturday morning and anyone who is available to help is most welcome.
6. Under New Business, Meg mentioned that the library will be closed on December 25 and January 1 as those two holidays fall on Wednesdays this year.
7. Erica, Connie and Patty’s terms as Trustees expire in March and all three have agreed to run again. They need to fill out the appropriate paperwork at the town offices.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 8, at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Nola Jordan, Secretary
