Part Time Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector

The Town of Bradford is seeking a Part Time Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector – 20hrs Weekly:  The Deputy supports the Town Clerk/Tax Collector with the following:  processing motor vehicles, boat registrations, vital records, hunting/fishing/OHRV registrations, issuing dog licenses, the billing, collecting, liens and deeding of tax properties; performs daily accounting operations accurately; keeps all Town records, makes official reports, collects fees, and acts as an election official.  The position will remain open until filled by a qualified applicant.

Education and/or Experience:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is the minimum qualification. 

The Ideal Candidate would have general office work and bookkeeping experience including the ability to multi-task and accept new work as it arrives. This office uses 7 different software programs, so a willingness and aptitude to learn new programs is a must. A proficiency in Excel and Word are a must!

Requirements:

Must be a Bradford Resident

Must become a Certified Municipal Agent within 3 months of hire and attend all training classes required by the State.
