Proposed Rehabilitation of the Bement Covered Bridge over the West Branch Warner River

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Proposed Rehabilitation of the Bement Covered Bridge will ONLY be received and accepted via online electronic bid service through https://www.questcdn.com until 3:00 pm local time on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 and at such time will be publicly opened at the office of Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc., 150 Dow Street, Manchester, New Hampshire 03101 through a virtual online meeting. The Project consists of rehabilitating the Bement Covered Bridge which carries Center Road over the West Branch Warner River. The project limits extend approximately 100’ to the south and 120’ to the north of the covered bridge for a total project length of 310’. Rehabilitation of the covered bridge includes full replacement of the lower chord and deck, installation of new floor beams, replacing the deteriorated bridge truss members, siding replacement, new timber approach railing supported by cast-in-place concrete moment slabs, complete replacement of the north abutment with a new dry laid stone abutment and approach roadway reconstruction. The engineer’s estimate for the work is between $1,000,000 and $1,100,000. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction about spring 2020 and complete construction in late fall 2020.
Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Only bids from prequalified contractors will be accepted and opened. The following contractors were previously prequalified by the Town of Bradford for this project:

Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than QuestCDN.
Bidder shall submit a bid via online electronic bid service through https://www.questcdn.com (See Instructions to Bidders). An optional pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Bement Covered Bridge project site. Therefore, all interested bidders are encouraged to attend in order to prepare acceptable bid submissions.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
