INVITATION TO BID
Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements

CONTRACT 2010257

Sealed Bids for the proposed work of the East Main Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements, Contract 2010257, will be received by the Town of Bradford, New Hampshire until 10:00 AM prevailing time on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 at the Bradford Town Hall, at which place and time said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
This project is funded in part with Federal funds and all applicable provisions apply. The conditions for Federally funded projects in Section 00810 – Supplemental Conditions are a part of the construction contract. This project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage rates. The most recently published wage rate information is provided in Section 00810 – Supplemental Conditions.
The proposed work includes the bicycle and pedestrian improvements on East Main Street and appurtenant work as described in Section 01010.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in accordance with Article 13 – Bid Security of Section 00100 – Instructions to Bidders.

Drawings and other Contract Documents may be examined and obtained at the office of Kleinfelder / S E A, 2 Wall Street, Suite 450, Manchester, NH 03101 upon payment of a nonrefundable deposit of $125.00. Checks for the deposit shall be made payable to Kleinfelder / S E A. This check does not need to be certified but, for record keeping purposes, should have the company name and payee address on it. Cash is not acceptable. Contract Documents may be examined, but not obtained, at the following locations

Drawings and other Contract Documents will be mailed, if requested, upon receipt of a street (not a P.O. Box) address suitable for commercial carrier delivery, and an additional check in the amount of $25.00, payable to Kleinfelder / S E A as a nonrefundable postage and handling fee.
All bidders are required to purchase drawings and contract documents a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the bid opening unless otherwise approved by the Engineer.
No award will be made to any bidder who is not pre-qualified for Road Construction by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
Upon request, the contractor shall submit Section 00420 to the Engineer. If required, Section 00420 shall be submitted a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
Successful bidder must furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond in accordance with Article 18 – Contract Bonds of Section 00100 – Instructions to Bidders.

Contract completion time for the project shall be in accordance with Article 3 – Contract Times of Section 00500 – Agreement.

Bids, when opened, shall be irrevocable for the period of time specified in Article 14 – Withdrawal of Bids of Section 00100 – Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
