Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes
January 8, 2018
Pledge of Allegiance
Meeting called to order at 5:34PM
Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman; Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator and Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance
Regular Business:
- Consequences of Not Getting A Building Permit: In follow-up to the discussion from last week concerning missing permit documentation, the Board was presented with a copy of Bradford’s Building Code Ordinance, verbiage from the Town of Bedford’s webpage concerning the consequences of not getting a building permit and RSA 676:17 (Penalties and Remedies). The Board discussed imposing consequences on individuals/businesses that don’t follow the proper process in obtaining a building permit. The Board voted 3-0 in favor of asking the code enforcement officer to enforce the process and penalties we currently have in place. Offenders will be notified that enforcement of penalties will begin on February 1, 2018.
- Accept funds for Town Hall Restoration Trust Fund: The Board accepted a donation to the Town Hall Restoration Trust Fund.
- Meeting January 15th: The Board will observe Martin Luther King Day and hold their next meeting on January 22nd.
The Payable and Payroll Manifests were signed.
Minutes of January 2nd meeting were reviewed and accepted without changes.
The next Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday January 22, 2018 at the Bradford Community Center.
Meeting adjourned into a joint session with the Budget Committee at 5:45.
