January 9, 2017

Meeting called to order at 5:30pm
Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman
Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator; Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance
Appearances
Bement Bridge Local Concerns Meeting: Sean T. James and Josif Bicja came to present their findings on the Bement Bridge. They explained that the $772,000 funding (Federal, State and Town) will not cover all that needs to be done. The Base Project includes: north abutment replacement, correcting the drainage behind the north abutment, new guardrail for the bridge approaches, and repaving each approach. Additional work they feel should be considered includes: deck replacement, floor beam replacement, fire protection and detection and correcting the racking. There will be another presentation to further discuss options and costs in early February. [Note: This meeting was subsequently scheduled for February 6, 2017 at 5:30 pm.]
Regular Business
- Autocraft Update: The Police Chief visited the site and felt like there had not been much progress in terms of the removal of vehicles. The Chief recommended the Selectmen invite Mr. Wilcox come to the next Selectmen’s meeting.
- The Board requested that Fritz Giddings review the Abatement Recommendation for Map23/Lot3.
- Board signed Abatement Recommendation Map11/Lot76-site29.
- Board signed Intent to cut for Map3/Lot 32.
- Side Walks: The Town of Bradford did not receive the TAP (Transportation Alternatives Program) grant for sidewalk work on West Main Street, however we are second on the waiting list should funds become available.
- Henniker Contract: Review of the Henniker Rescue invoice and contract raised a couple of questions. Karen will contact Henniker for clarification.
Accounts Payable and Payroll Manifest reviewed and signed.
Minutes of December 19 and 28, 2016 meetings were reviewed and accepted with no change.
The next Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Bradford Community Center.
