Pledge of Allegiance
Meeting called to order at 5:30pm
Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Harry Wright, Selectman
Appearances
- Ed and Chrys Otto regarding abatement. It was approved by selectmen and they will receive a refund check in the mail
- Rachel deThomas and Dayna Bates came to ask the board if they were interested in the old Bruss Construction property for a possible location for the Bradford Town Offices. The board said they were not interested at this time because the board is very committed to restoring the current Town Hall Building.
- Pamela Bruss came to inform the board that Corvus Training Group is looking to build a training center in Bradford. There was a meeting held at Pamela’s home on 2.28.16 and a petition against having the training center in Bradford is circulating. A number of other Bradford residents also attended the Selectmen’s Meeting to voice their concerns. The board listened to their concerns and reiterated that there has not yet been an application from Corvus to either the Zoning or Planning Boards.
Regular Business
- Three donations to the Town Hall Restoration Fund were accepted.
- Prepare for Town Meeting: There will be the same audio set up as in previous years. Brackett Scheffy will be the moderator once again and he runs the meeting. Town Reports should be in tomorrow, 3.1.16.
- The Select Board voted to appoint Karen Hambleton as Town Administrator, vote 3-0
- The Selectmen signed a letter authorizing Karen to sign paperwork for Lincoln Financial Group.
- Selectmen discussed that Bradford roads will be posted on March 7th.
- Selectmen reviewed and signed Fee Abatements from Tax Collector
- The Town Hall Restoration Oversight Committee presented an engagement letter from Devine Millimet authorizing them to perform bond counsel services on behalf of the Town. (For a Federal loan program that could result in a 3.125% 30 year fixed term bond for the restoration of Town Hall.) There was discussion as to whether or not the Board should wait until after Town Meeting and the Town Hall bond vote before signing the letter. Harry Wright and David Halsted said they will be responsible of paying the any fees incurred by Devine Millimet should the bond not pass. The Select Board signed the letter.
Accounts Payable and Payroll Manifest reviewed and signed.
Minutes of February 22, 2016 meeting were reviewed and accepted with no change. Voted 3-0.
The next Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016.
