Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes

March 5, 2018

Pledge of Allegiance

Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm

Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman; Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator and Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance

Appearances:

  1. Laurie Colburn – Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator, after review and recommendation from the Planning, Zoning and Budget Committees, presented Laurie Colburn to fill the position of Recording Secretary; Jim Bibbo motioned to approve the appointment, John Pfeifle seconded and the position was filled.

Regular Business:

  1. The Board accepted a donation for the Scholarship Fund.
  2. The Board accepted a donation for the Town Hall Restoration Trust Fund in memory of Elinor Harris.
  3. The Board signed the Board the Treasurer’s request to transfer funds into the Town Hall account.
  4. John Pfeifle was able to observe the Town Hall tours conducted on March 3rd, 2018 and complemented the quality of the tour presentation and the impressive amount of work that had been completed. He felt the event was well attended and included project supporters, those who hadn’t supported as well as those who sought to learn more about the renovation activity.
  5. Jim Bibbo presented a grant certification document for the grant being written to fund the elevator in Town Hall. The Board signed the certification.
  6. Jim Bibbo confirmed contact with the Engineering Community Development Finance Authority to establish a review of energy efficiency opportunities for the Town; Karen will coordinate a meeting, tentatively in April 2018.
  7. John Pfeifle requested that signage be placed at the school, Town Hall and at the Main Street traffic light to direct the community to the Town Elections, March 13, 2018 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Bradford Area Community Center

The Payable and Payroll Manifests were signed.

Minutes of February 26th meeting were reviewed and accepted without changes.

The next Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday March 12, 2018 at the Bradford Community Center.
