Regular Business
- Move to Town Hall update. The taping and buffering will be done this week. The Town is currently looking for volunteers to paint the walls. Jim Bibbo has researched ADA for the Town Hall bathrooms and informed the Board that there can be some exemptions from the regulations. Jim informed the Board that the current toilet and sink do not meet ADA requirements. John Pfeifle has a source to get a toilet and sink donated that will meet ADA. The Board also discussed ramp placement (temporary vs. permanent).
- Hazardous Waste Disposal. Currently the Town pays a fee to Henniker for our removal of hazardous waste but Lois Kilnapp does not feel that continuing to use their services is the most cost effective or convenient option for the town. Goffstown will take hazardous waste year-round (as opposed to just one day/year) for $2.00 per pound. Karen Hambleton will ask Lois if there are other options to consider.
- The Affidavit certifying the mailing date of the Final 2015 Tax Bill was shared with the Board
- The Board accepted $600.00 worth of checks for the Independence Day Trust Fund.
- Sidewalk damage: Pictures were presented to the Board showing side walk damage located where Greenhouse Lane meets Route 114. Karen will share them with the Road Agent.
- Paver purchase: Motion to support purchase of $5500.00 paver was voted 3-0.
- Board signed Intent to Excavate-Map 7/Lot 26
- Board signed Tax Map correction-Map 20/Lot 1
- Board signed Timber Tax-Map 7/Lot 58
- Cash flow: Karen gave the Select Board a heads up that cash flow is tight and will continue to be so until tax bills go out.
- Gravel Pit: Jim Bibbo stated that the Town is currently paying $15.75 a yard for processed gravel that is tested and delivered from out of town. (Actual cost confirmed on invoice is $15/yard.) Barry Wheeler is able to provide the Town with gravel such that when it is processed, the total cost to the Town, including the off-site processing, is $8.00 a yard. Jim informed the Board that Barry currently has all the needed permits from the State to excavate and John Pfeifle also explained that because Barry would be selling to the Town that there are different permitting regulations.
- Joint Town Efforts: John Pfeifle went over figures of potential savings for the Town over a four year plan. He asked that the Board support continued exploration into joint town efforts with Sutton and Warner.
Accounts Payable and Payroll Manifest reviewed and signed.
