Board of Selectmen Meeting
May 16, 2016 Minutes
Pledge of Allegiance
Meeting called to order at 5:30pm
Roll Call- Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman
Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator; Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance
Absent: John Pfeifle, Chairman
Appearances
Building Inspector: Walter came to inform the Board that the sign on Rt. 114 is in fact a trailer and not considered a portable sign due to the fact that the trailer is a registered trailer. Jim did not agree with Walter’s definition and feels like the sign needs to be removed from the property. Sonny suggested getting a hold of the town attorney to get more clarification on portable sign vs. trailer.
Regular Business
- Move to Town Hall: The Board would like to have their meeting on June 6th in the Town Hall even though the offices will not be moved over at that time. At this point, it looks like the offices will be moved later in June.
- Cemetery Wood: Diane Whalley is ready to have the trees taken down in the cemetery and suggested that the wood could be used by those in need. The Select Board supports this idea.
- Cash Flow Update: Tax bills were sent on Wednesday which should ease cash flow. The Town has over $351,000 due by early June and has already maxed out the amount it can borrow against the TAN note.
- Board signed Tax abatement
- Board signed Timber Tax Warrant for Map 4/Lot 36
- Board signed Parade permit for July 4th
Accounts Payable and Payroll Manifest reviewed and signed.
