Parks and Rec has requested permission of the Selectmen to continue their investigation into the use of the old Autocraft Garage slab on the Naughton property. They hope to use the slab as a basis for an ice rink for towns people. The Board approved their plan. The committee also requested the most recent testing results. Cheryl will provide the reports. The motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the committees plan. John Pfeifle requested the Committee keep future possible property uses and developments in mind when locating parking lots and other improvements.
Regular Business
- Answers to questions on the future of state ownership of the Bradford Tall Pines property will be investigated before any new committees will be organized. The Board of Selectmen had discussed the matter at town meeting, but the formation of a committee at this time would be premature.
- Budget committee will meet on Wednesday July 29th . John Pfeifle will be out of town on business and will send a note with his comments on current issues.
- Work on the Old Warner Road will begin the first week in August. Post cards have been sent to property owners notifying them of delays.
- KAP (preschool) and CAP (seniors/Community Action) leases were signed by the Board of Selectmen.
- Intent to cut for Map 15 lot 8 and Map19 lot 346,098 were signed by selectmen.
- Request for a speed limit sign on Hogg Hill Road will be passed on to the Highway dept and Police dept.
- Pond Bridge will be opened for use on Tuesday, July 29th.
- Hearings on the new property assessments will be held on Friday 7.31.15, Saturday 8.018.15 and Monday 8.3.15. Property owners will need to call 415-0130. This number is on the notice of new values each owner received in the mail.
- The Road Agent will be asked to brush cut around the “Welcome to Bradford” signs.
- Selectman Pfeifle will be visiting area Boards of Selectmen to discuss shared services. He has reached out to the adjacent towns but summer schedules have kept him from arranging meeting until after Labor Day.
