- Set Tax Rate: Karen presented a variety of potential tax rate scenarios each using a different amount from Fund Balance to reduce taxes. Michael prompted a discussion about Fund Balance – what it is, how much there is in it and the benefits/drawbacks of using a portion of it to reduce taxes.
Motion: Michael James motioned to set the tax rate without using a portion of Fund Balance to reduce it.
Second: Jason Allen
Decision: 2-1 in favor; Marlene would have preferred to use a small amount of Fund Balance.
The Tax Rate was set at $23.86.
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to commit $5,899,803 for the 2020 Tax Warrant.

Decision: 3-0 in favor
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to move to adjourn to non-public session RSA 91-A:3II (c) at 4:41pm

Vote: 3-0 in favor
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to return to public session at 5:01 pm

Decision: 3-0 in favor
Motion: Jason Allen motioned to seal the minutes of the non-public session as it could adversely affect the reputation of a person other than a Board member.
