TOWN OF BRADFORD
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES DRAFT
September 4th, 2019
Members: Brooks McCandlish Chair, Denise Renk, Stephen Pierce, and Alternate Bob Hodges (seated) were in attendance.
Ken Parys Vice-Chair, Nathanial Bruss and Bill Duffy, Alternate, were absent.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM
There were no appearances.
Minutes from the August 7th, 2019 meeting were reviewed.
Motion: Bob Hodges motioned to approve the minutes.
Second: Stephen Pierce
Decision: 4-0 in favor.
Zoning Board Communication:
- Brooks reviewed a complaint letter, forwarded to the ZBA from the Select Board, regarding nuisance barking at a kennel location, requesting advise from the ZBA. Brooks will respond to the Select Board outlining the applicable Kennel Ordinance requirements.
- The Board discussed an upcoming Land Use Fall Conference. Denise planned to attend the conference but the registration was already filled.
- The Board discussed attendance for the October meeting which Brooks would not be able to attend if conducted on October 2nd.
Motion: Stephen Pierce motioned to hold the meeting on October 9th.
Second: Bob Hodges
Decision: vote 4-0 in favor
- The Board discussed whether there were any areas of existing Zoning they felt the Planning Board should review for possible revisions. The only item identified was Zoning related to Accessory Dwelling Units. Currently Zoning allows an ADU in the Rural/Residential Zone by Special Exception. Brooks will write a statement for the Planning Board outlining a suggestion to review ADU regulations in all Zones as new State Regulations would apply if no Town Ordinance is in place.
Motion: Bob Hodges motioned to adjourn at 7:45pm.
