Roll Call:
Members: Bill Duffy, Vice Chair; Stephen Pierce, Nathanial Bruss, Denise Renk; Alternates Ken Parys, Bob Hodges seated
Brooks McCandlish, Chair; Absent
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM
Minutes of August 1, 2018 were reviewed.
Motion: Nathaniel Bruss motioned to approve
Second: Denise Renk
Decision: vote 4-0 in favor; Bill Duffy abstained
Appearances:
1. Bill Duffy opened a Public Hearing for Paul Saxby, Map 17/Lot 1, Sign Variance, at 7:02pm. Paul Saxby appeared and reviewed his Variance Application. Bill noted that the Abutters List did not include all the adjacent lots and additional notices would need to be sent out.
Motion: Nathaniel Bruss motioned to continue the hearing October 3rd, 2018
Second: Stephen Pierce
Decision: vote 5-0 in favor
Public Hearing was closed at 7:15pm.
2. George Neuwirt appeared to discuss a Variance Application he plans to submit for setback and lot size variances for Map 17/Lot 35. The Board reviewed the application process and the criteria components that would need to be met when seeking approval. Vern Hall appeared and voiced concerns about the use of the lot for a building site when the Zoning Ordinance calls for a larger minimum size lot. Laurie let the Board know Brian Rondeau had visited the Town Office earlier in the day and had expressed concerns about the reduction in setback footage from his property.
New Business:
1. The Board discussed Bradford’s Sign Ordinance and will request the Planning Board determine whether the existing offsite sign for Colonial Woodworking predates Zoning Ordinances.
Zoning Board Communication:
1. The next ZBA meeting will be held at the BACC October 3rd, 2018 at 7:00pm
